Who can be featured on the Author Spotlight platform?
Any author with a compelling story or published work is welcome to apply. We spotlight emerging voices, independent authors, and traditionally published writers across all genres.
Do I need to be a published author to be eligible?
Not necessarily. We feature both published and pre-published authors, as long as they have a clear vision or a manuscript in progress.
What genres or types of books do you accept?
We accept fiction, nonfiction, poetry, memoir, children’s books, and more. As long as your work aligns with our editorial standards, your genre is welcome.
Is this a traditional publishing company or a self-publishing platform?
America Publishers is a full-service self-publishing and author support company. We provide editorial, publishing, and marketing services without taking ownership of your rights.
What makes Author Spotlight different from other book promotion sites?
We don’t just list books, we tell author stories. Our platform focuses on elevating voices through customized branding, personal features, and curated exposure opportunities.
How does the selection process work for getting featured?
After you submit your Publishing Brief, our editorial team reviews your profile. If accepted, we will reach out to you within 7 business days to begin preparing your Spotlight.
Can I apply if I’ve already published with another company?
Absolutely. We work with both independently published and traditionally published authors.
Is there an approval process before I can be featured?
Yes. Our editorial team reviews each submission to ensure quality, alignment with our mission, and readiness for promotion.
How long does it take to get a response after I submit my details?
You’ll typically receive a decision within 5–7 business days after submitting your Publishing Brief.
Do I need to submit a full manuscript or just a summary?
A summary or overview is enough for initial review. If you require additional information, our team will contact you directly.
Can I submit on behalf of someone else (e.g., an agent or publicist)?
Yes, agents and representatives are welcome to submit on behalf of their authors, provided they have proper authorization.
Is there a limit to how many times I can be featured?
Not at all! Once you’re featured, your Spotlight remains live on our site indefinitely, unless you request removal. If you publish a new book later, we’ll update your existing feature to include it.
Can I request edits or updates to my feature after it goes live?
Yes. You can request minor updates to your author profile or book links at any time by contacting our team.
Are you affiliated with any major publishing platforms?
While we are an independent company, we publish and distribute to platforms like Amazon Kindle, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, and more.
What services do you offer beyond being featured?
Absolutely! We work with authors at every stage, even if you’re just starting or still polishing your manuscript. From ghostwriting and editing to illustration and formatting guidance, we’ll walk with you step-by-step until your book is ready for the world.
Do you only work with authors based in the United States?
No. We work with authors worldwide, including those in the UK, Canada, Australia, South Africa, and many other countries.
Can I collaborate with America Publishers if I’m not an author?
Yes! We welcome inquiries from illustrators, editors, journalists, podcast hosts, and partners in the publishing industry.
Is there a cost associated with any part of the process?
There’s no fee to submit or be selected. However, premium publishing, branding, or promotional services are available at set package rates.

Will my books be promoted on social media?
Yes! We create eye-catching, branded social posts that highlight your work and drive engagement, all included in your spotlight.
Can I submit new books after I’ve been featured?
Of course! If you release a new book after your Spotlight goes live, we’ll gladly add it to your feature and include it in your future promotions.
What if I need help updating my author profile?
We’ve got you! Just send us your updates and we’ll make sure your profile always reflects your most current work.
Does the membership include a press release?
Yes, you’ll get a professionally written press release to share your author story and get attention from blogs and media outlets.
Will I have to do anything technical myself?
Not at all. Our team handles the setup, design, and uploads. You just share your materials, and we’ll take care of the rest.
Do members get any priority for interviews or features?
Yes! Our members are the first to be considered for special features, interviews, and Author of the Month nominations.
Can I cancel or remove my feature later on?

Is there a refund policy?

Will you promote my book on social media?
Yes! We create branded posts for Instagram and Facebook that highlight you and your book in a beautiful, professional way. Our goal is to help you connect with readers, not just sell books.
What kind of visuals will be included in my promotions?
We design custom banners, animated posts, and spotlight graphics featuring your book cover and theme. It’s all tailored to reflect your story’s voice and vibe.
Can I request specific quotes or images to be used in my posts?
Absolutely! We love it when authors share personal quotes or visual inspiration. We’ll collaborate with you to create posts you’re proud to share.
Where exactly will my content be shared?
Your Author Spotlight will be published permanently on our official website, where readers can explore your story anytime. In addition, your feature will be promoted across our Instagram and Facebook pages, and may also be highlighted in our newsletter and future campaigns.
Will you tag my personal author accounts?
Yes! We’ll tag your Instagram or Facebook accounts (if available) so your followers can engage directly and your platform grows alongside the spotlight.
Can you promote more than one book if I have a series?
Definitely, we love showcasing series or multi-book authors and we’ll design visuals that make each title shine while keeping your brand consistent.
What happens if I launch a new book after I’ve been featured?
That’s amazing, congratulations! Just send us the details and we’ll update your Author Spotlight and visuals to include your new release. We’ll make sure your latest work gets the attention it deserves.
Do I need to write the social media captions myself?
Nope! We write everything for you in your brand voice but if you have a message in mind, we’re happy to blend it in.
Will my posts include hashtags or SEO elements?
Yes. Every caption is written with keyword-rich hashtags and attention-grabbing language to boost discoverability and drive more reach.
What is a spotlight interview, and will I get one?
A spotlight interview is a Q&A feature where we showcase your journey as an author. Many members get this opportunity as part of their promotion, which adds real connection to your story.
Can I be featured in your newsletter?
Yes! We regularly highlight authors in our email newsletter, which goes out to thousands of readers, industry insiders, and book lovers.
Will you help me grow my social media following?
Yes, but naturally. Our goal is to attract the right audience by posting consistent, meaningful content, not just chasing numbers.
Can I approve the posts before they go live?
Always. We’ll share drafts or previews ahead of time so you feel confident about what’s being shared in your name.
Will you share video content or book trailers?
If you have video assets, we can absolutely include them. And if you don’t, we also offer book trailer creation as an add-on service.
How do you make sure my visuals stand out?

Can I promote my Author Spotlight on my own page too?
Yes, and we encourage it! We’ll provide you with ready-to-post content you can share on your social platforms, website, or with your readers.
Do you post about sales or discounts for my book?
Definitely, just let us know when your book is on sale or running a promo, and we’ll include it in your marketing content.
What if I want to run a paid ad campaign later?
We offer additional advertising support if you’re interested. We’ll design the ad creatives and help manage the campaign if needed.

Technical / Platform Help
I can’t view my Spotlight page. What should I do?
No worries, it could be a browser issue. Try refreshing, clearing the cache, or switching devices. Still stuck? Email us and we’ll check it on our end.
The images on my profile aren’t loading. Why?
This usually happens due to a weak connection or a temporary glitch. Reach out and we’ll recheck your images from our side immediately.
My book link isn’t working. Can it be fixed?
Absolutely. Just send us the correct link (Amazon, B&N, etc.) and we’ll update your Spotlight right away.
Can I access my profile on mobile?
Yes! Our site is fully mobile-friendly. If anything looks off, let us know and we’ll help sort it out.
How do I request a correction to my Spotlight feature?
Easy, just email or message us with what needs updating, and we’ll fix it within 24–48 hours.
I didn’t receive your confirmation email. What now?
Check your spam or promotions folder. If it’s still missing, let us know and we’ll resend it manually.
Can I view other authors’ Spotlights for inspiration?
Definitely! Visit our “Authors” section to explore past Spotlights and see how others are shining.
Will I be notified when my feature goes live?
Yes! You’ll receive an official confirmation email with a direct link as soon as it’s published.
I submitted a form but didn’t hear back. What now?
Please allow 3–7 business days. If you don’t hear from us after that, send a quick follow-up, and we’re happy to help.
My social handle changed. Can you update it on my posts?
Of course! Just send us the new handle and we’ll make sure your future posts are tagged correctly.
What browsers work best for viewing my profile?
We recommend Chrome, Safari, or Firefox for best performance but it should load well across all modern browsers.
Will my Spotlight stay live permanently?
Yes, your Spotlight stays on the site unless you request it to be taken down. It’s your permanent space to shine.
Can I request access to my promo visuals?
Yes! We’re happy to share all your banners and visuals via email or a Google Drive link for easy access.
My book cover looks blurry; how can I fix it?
Just send us a high-resolution version of your cover and we’ll swap it in for a crisp, clean update.
